PLANIT Studios partnered with Altru Health System to design a comprehensive wayfinding strategy for their new replacement hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Navigating a large healthcare campus can feel overwhelming, so we set out to create an intuitive and reassuring wayfinding strategy. By analyzing the hospital’s layout, traffic flow, and key destinations, we developed a comprehensive strategy that not only helps visitors find their way but also enhances their overall experience within the site.
The exterior wayfinding strategy was thoughtfully crafted to guide users seamlessly through the changing campus, while the interior signage ensures clear, intuitive pathways from entry to destination. Together, these elements create a cohesive navigation experience that aligns with the hospital’s welcoming and modern atmosphere.
Partnering with the signage fabricator, Hightech Signs, ensured that the physical signage not only aligned with the wayfinding strategy but also reflected Altru’s sleek, contemporary brand identity.
